About Us

Hello!

Welcome to 76 & Riveted! Thanks for stopping by to take a look around. My name is Ashley and I am the owner, designer, CEO and general boss lady of 76 & Riveted but this truly is a family business. My husband, Ryan, is the unseen partner who is a handy man, metalsmith, airstream renovator and most importantly sewing machine maintenance guy. We create everything you see on our small farm located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

So 76 & Riveted? What does that mean? In the summer of 2015 we bought a 1976 Airstream, Old Betsy, as a full restoration project. Our name comes from her year, '76 and the term riveted for being a fastener for leather and a motto for airstream life.

I have been working with leather since 2013. I picked it up after wanting a cowhide purse but not finding one that I loved. I then decided to try an make my own. That one project hooked me and I haven't been able to put my tools down since. My favorite aspect of working with leather is being part of its transformation from a blank hide into a functional piece of art. I enjoy making one of a kind unique pieces and I definitely have an affinity for retro western and boho themes. I always say the more fringe and buckstitch the better!
